Kunst in de Wijk - De L’art dans le Quartier is a bilingual participatory project in three municipalities: Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Brussels, and Ixelles. During some 50 artistic sessions in various primary schools and some 20 sessions with adults, the MUS-E artists worked on the theme of identity. They use their own artistic practice as a basis for translating this theme into a process that focuses on the living environment of all participants. An expressive, creative process is set in motion, culminating in a collective work of art in the public space.
